When you're hitting context limits or need to switch focus, this compacts your current session into a markdown handoff document that another Claude instance can pick up from. It saves to a temp file and intelligently references existing artifacts like PRDs or diffs rather than duplicating them, keeping the handoff lean. You can pass arguments to specify what the next session should focus on, and it'll suggest which skills to load. Think of it as a context-aware session save that gives the next agent just enough to continue without rehashing everything. Most useful when you're doing multi-stage work that won't fit in one conversation or when you need to deliberately partition tasks across fresh contexts.
