When you're dropped into unfamiliar code and need to get your bearings fast, this skill tells Claude to step back and show you the lay of the land. Instead of staying in the weeds, it forces a shift up one abstraction layer, mapping out relevant modules and callers using the project's actual domain vocabulary. It's basically your "wait, where am I?" button. The approach works because it doesn't ask for implementation details but rather relationships and architecture, which is exactly what you need when context switching into a codebase section you don't know. Best used when you're about to make changes but don't trust your mental model yet.
