This pulls the full catalog of tradable commodities across energy, metals, and agriculture from the Octagon MCP server. You'd use it when you need to survey the commodity trading landscape, identify which firms trade specific products like LNG or lithium, or understand market participant coverage across sectors. The output groups companies by what they actually trade, from Six One Commodities handling natural gas and power to Global Tea & Commodities in the ag space. It's really a market participant directory more than a price feed. Useful for competitive research or supply chain mapping, less so if you need actual quotes or trading data.
