Skill Scout

Before you spin up yet another skill from scratch, run this. It searches your local skills, marketplace catalogs, GitHub repos, and the web for anything that already does what you need. Salvaged from a stale community PR by redminwang, it walks through intent capture, multi-source search with grep and gh CLI, vetting for sketchy commands or unmaintained repos, then ranks up to 10 candidates and presents three paths: use as-is, fork and modify, or create fresh. The anti-patterns section is honest about the real problem: we all skip search and rebuild the wheel. Worth keeping in your toolkit if you maintain more than a handful of skills.
