If you're in a region where Telegram gets blocked at the network level, this sets up a local SOCKS5 proxy that tunnels your Telegram Desktop traffic through WebSocket connections to Telegram's data centers. It intercepts the MTProto handshake to figure out which DC you're connecting to, then wraps everything in WSS. Ships as a Python package with optional system tray apps for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The approach is clever because it bypasses DPI without needing a remote VPS. Setup is straightforward: install via pip or grab a binary, point Telegram Desktop to 127.0.0.1:1080, and you're done. Falls back to direct TCP if the WebSocket route doesn't work.
