This is pure plumbing. It's the internal contract that lets the pi:pi-rescue subagent hand off work to the Pi companion runtime without Claude trying to be helpful along the way. The entire design is built around one rule: invoke the task command once, return stdout, and get out of the way. No repo inspection, no progress monitoring, no summarizing. It handles the flag translation (--resume becomes --resume-last, --fresh strips resume state, --write is the default) and enforces that the rescue subagent acts as a forwarder, not an orchestrator. You won't invoke this directly. It exists so Pi can do the actual work while Claude stays in its lane.
