Metabolic Cultures

This is worldbuilding infrastructure for writers designing space habitats where everyone literally breathes and eats recycled versions of each other. It gives you five axes to position cultures on, from how they handle metabolic mixing (purist to synthesis) to who gets power from controlling the life support systems. The framework is thoughtful about second-order effects: what happens when open borders clash with strict integration timelines, or how death practices change when your body is communal property. Good for generating cultures that feel alien but logical, with built-in tensions that create character conflicts. Works best when you want social structures that emerge from physical constraints rather than importing Earth politics into space.
