This is a read-only CLI wrapper around CoinGecko's free public API. No API key needed for basic endpoints. You get coin prices, market data, trending lists, and global crypto stats all formatted as JSON with an agent mode flag that strips interactivity. The --select flag is the real win here because CoinGecko responses can get verbose and you'll want to prune fields before they eat your context window. It includes a "which" command that maps plain English questions to the right CLI invocation, plus local feedback logging if you hit something weird. Standard use case is pulling live price data or market snapshots into an agent workflow without standing up your own API wrapper.
