This connects you to COSMIC, the Sanger Institute's massive cancer mutation database with millions of somatic mutations across thousands of cancer types. You get programmatic access to the Cancer Gene Census, mutational signatures, gene fusions, and drug resistance data. Requires free registration for academic use or a commercial license. The included download script handles authentication and lets you pull specific datasets like mutation exports, structural variants, or copy number alterations in TSV or VCF format. Works with both GRCh38 and GRCh37 assemblies. If you're building cancer genomics pipelines or need to filter variants by oncogenic relevance, this beats scraping the web interface.
