Platform Value Set Generate

Generates and validates GlobalValueSet and StandardValueSet metadata for Salesforce, the two flavors of reusable picklists. Reach for it when you need a value set shared across multiple fields or when customizing a standard catalog picklist like Industry or Lead Source. The spec is refreshingly explicit about the distinction: GlobalValueSets live in their own folder, use customValue elements, and let you create new sets. StandardValueSets can only modify existing catalog entries, use standardValue elements, and require surgical updates with only the values you're changing. One gotcha worth noting: ignore the __gvs suffix you'll see in API 57.0+ orgs, it's display only and will break deployments if you use it in metadata.
