Oblique Worldbuilding

This generates chapter epigraphs and in-world documents where the perspective itself creates the meaning. Instead of neutral worldbuilding, you get voices constrained by their position: the middle manager who needs to believe the surveillance helped workers, the engineer who can only see engineering problems, the bureaucrat filing forms during a catastrophe. The skill focuses on what documenters cannot afford to see rather than temporal distance. It walks through choosing perspectives based on professional deformation or positional necessity, then calibrating how obliquely the quote connects to your chapter events. Aim for second-order distance where readers make the inference themselves. Works best when you want epigraphs that add irony or reveal systemic blindness rather than just atmospheric flavor.
