Summary
Adds x402 HTTP payment protocol to AI agents so they can pay for APIs, services, or other agents without holding your keys. Ships with per-task and per-session budget enforcement, recipient allowlists, and rate limits that you set in the orchestrator before the agent runs. Supports Base through agentwallet-sdk and X Layer through OKX's payment protocol. The MCP tools let agents check balance, send payments, and query spend history, but policy configuration stays in your orchestration layer so agents can't escalate their own limits. Useful when you need an agent to purchase external services or settle with other agents under strict spending controls. The source includes detailed budget enforcement examples and current seller SDK paths for TypeScript, Go, Rust, and Java.
