If you bounce between projects in Claude Code and lose context every time, this gives you persistent memory that survives sessions. It auto-loads a compact summary when you start working (about 100 tokens), tracks what you were doing last, and lets you explicitly save session state with next steps and decisions. The hook detects git activity since your last save and warns you about unsaved work. Everything runs through deterministic Node.js scripts instead of relying on model interpretation, so behavior stays consistent. It's essentially a structured alternative to maintaining a manual CLAUDE.md file, with the benefit of automatic session tracking and a portfolio view across all your projects.
