This lets you query the Cancer Dependency Map directly from Claude to pull CRISPR knockout scores, drug sensitivity data, and gene essentiality profiles across hundreds of cancer cell lines. You'd use it for target validation (is this gene essential in KRAS-mutant lung cancer?), finding synthetic lethal pairs, or checking if a dependency is pan-cancer essential or selective. The skill includes both API queries and local analysis patterns using downloaded DepMap CSV files. One thing to know: the dependency scores use the Chronos scale where more negative means more essential, with -1 being the typical threshold for strong dependencies.
