Runs tax prep workflows based on the quarter: estimated tax calculations when you're mid-year, 1099-NEC prep when you're closing out December, or both if you're in Q4. It pulls from QuickBooks, Stripe, and PayPal to aggregate contractor payments, flags anyone near the $600 threshold, and checks W-9 status. For quarterlies it estimates self-employment tax and federal obligations, though it defaults to a 22% bracket and makes you confirm every assumption. The output is explicitly framed as prep material for your accountant, not filing-ready. It's opinionated about not auto-merging duplicate payees, which is the right call but means you're doing that reconciliation yourself.
