Cmux Backend

Backend rules for cmux's TypeScript API layer, Cloud VM control plane, and provider integrations. Reach for this when you're working in Next route handlers, Effect services, Postgres migrations, or anything touching VM lifecycle and pricing gates. The skill enforces Effect for request boundaries, keeps the control plane in Vercel with Postgres as the source of truth, and documents the AWS RDS IAM auth path for production databases. It also covers the secrets split between cmux.env for provider API keys and cmuxterm-dev.env for Stack Auth config. If you're adding retry logic, rate limits, or wiring up a new provider integration, the references folder has the architecture patterns you need.
