Black Forest Labs built this to bring their full FLUX.2 image generation stack into any MCP client without touching API keys. You get text-to-image, edits with up to 8 reference images, variations, outpainting, and a searchable history grid, all through OAuth-backed tools that bill your BFL org directly. The server exposes generate_image, generate_variations, get_history, and get_credits as MCP tools and supports every FLUX.2 model including max, flex, and the klein variants. Useful when you want to generate image options in parallel inside Claude or Cursor, iterate on attached images through prompts, or branch variations without switching to a web dashboard. Streamable HTTP transport means it works in Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and Codex without local setup, though stdio clients can proxy through mcp-remote for the OAuth flow.
