Connects to your UniFi Protect controller to query camera feeds, search motion and smart detection events (people, vehicles, packages), and pull recording metadata. Exposes 43 tools covering camera management, event filtering, and detection history. Useful if you're building automation around security footage or want an AI agent to answer questions like "show me all person detections at the front door this morning" without clicking through the Protect UI. Part of a broader UniFi MCP suite that also covers Network and Access controllers. Runs locally via stdio, authenticates with controller credentials, and works with Claude Desktop or any MCP client. Beta status but stable enough for read heavy workflows.
