The Obsidian MCP server enables AI assistants to interact with Obsidian vaults through a set of tools for managing notes, directories, and tags. It provides capabilities to read, create, edit, delete, and move notes, as well as search vault contents and manage tags (add, remove, rename). The server solves the problem of integrating Obsidian note-taking systems with AI workflows, allowing Claude and other AI assistants to directly access and manipulate vault contents.
