This is the meta skill for building skills themselves. It walks you through the full philosophy: keep things concise because context windows are shared resources, use progressive disclosure so metadata loads first and details load only when needed, and match your level of prescription to how fragile the task is. The guidance covers when to write instructions versus ship scripts, how to structure the SKILL.md frontmatter and body, and when to split things into references or assets. If you're publishing skills or trying to understand why existing ones are structured the way they are, this codifies the design principles. It's opinionated about brevity and assumes Claude is already smart enough without verbose explanations.
