Gives Claude natural language access to your Jira workspace through either the jira-cli or Atlassian MCP. It detects which backend you have available and adapts automatically. The skill is thoughtfully paranoid about destructive operations: it won't transition issues without checking current state first, won't assign by display name in MCP (account IDs only), and always shows you what it's about to change before running commands. Best for creating tickets from conversation, checking sprint status, or moving issues through your workflow without context switching to the browser. The guard rails around bulk operations and irreversible edits are genuinely useful if you've ever accidentally notified an entire team.
