Connects Claude directly to your Zotero cloud library through the Zotero Web API, letting you search your research collection, browse specific folders, and pull detailed citation metadata without leaving your conversation. You can query recent additions, search across your entire library, or drill down into specific collections and papers. Requires a Zotero API key and user ID from your account settings. Solid choice when you're doing research synthesis, literature reviews, or need to reference your academic sources while writing and want Claude to have full context of your bibliography.
A Model Context Protocol server for Zotero integration that allows Claude to interact with your Zotero library.
Get your Zotero credentials:
# First, create an API key at https://www.zotero.org/settings/keys
# Then use it to get your user ID:
curl -H "Zotero-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY" https://api.zotero.org/keys/current
The response will look like:

"username": "your_username",
"access": {
"user": {
"library": true,

}
The userID value is what you need.
