If you've ever felt the tension between Obsidian's flexibility and the paralysis of a blank vault, this closes the gap. It lets you pick LYT, PARA, Zettelkasten, or Generic as your organizing methodology, then routes every new page from wiki-ingest, save, and autoresearch to the right folder automatically. Mode config lives in .vault-meta/mode.json. Generic preserves the old v1.6/v1.7 behavior exactly, so existing setups stay stable. The real win is that PARA users get projects/areas/resources without manual filing, LYT users get MOC-linked atomic notes by default, and Zettelkasten practitioners get timestamped IDs in a flat structure. It doesn't auto-migrate old files when you switch modes, which is honest. You set it once and new content just lands where your methodology expects it.
