If you're moving legacy workloads to AWS, this handles the actual code migration. It orchestrates the AWS Transform service to upgrade .NET Framework apps to modern .NET, convert mainframe COBOL to Java, shift VMware VMs to EC2, and migrate SQL Server databases to Aurora. It also handles version bumps for Java, Python, and Node.js projects, plus AWS SDK migrations. The workflow is opinionated: discovery, assessment, requirements approval, then execution with human checkpoints along the way. Not for greenfield projects or infrastructure as code, strictly for transforming existing codebases. Requires the AWS Transform MCP server and CLI tools, and it won't let you skip the assessment phase.
