Sector Performance Snapshot

This pulls aggregate financial metrics for an entire market sector through Octagon MCP: revenue, EBITDA, net income, market cap, enterprise value, and employee counts. You pass in a date, exchange, and sector, and get back a snapshot that's useful for understanding how a whole industry is performing or for contextualizing individual company metrics against their peers. The workflow is straightforward natural language queries, and the output includes representative companies and competitors. Worth noting that large cap companies will dominate the aggregates, so you need to watch for skew. Works best when you're doing sector screening or need quick comparative benchmarks across Technology, Healthcare, Financials, or other major sectors.
