You get a four section template (symptom, root cause, resolution, lesson) stored as individual files in docs/learning-from-mistakes/, named by the problem itself like stale-closure-in-useeffect.md. The bar is surprise, not completeness. Skip the routine stuff. This is for the gotchas that genuinely hurt, the ones where future you scanning that folder might recognize the pattern and save half a day.
