This package has been deprecated in favor of @cropgraph/mcp. The original pondlog-garden server exposed eight tools for garden planning: hardiness zone lookups, companion planting relationships from a graph of ~1000 crops, planting calendar queries by latitude and frost dates, and Trefle plant taxonomy searches. It worked offline for zones, calendar, and companions, only hitting the network for Trefle. If you need location-aware crop recommendations or want to know which vegetables grow well together, use the new @cropgraph/mcp package instead. The broader pondlog project also includes MCP servers for iNaturalist, eBird, USA-NPN phenology, USGS water data, Mushroom Observer, and night sky calculations, but those are separate packages under the @pondlog namespace.
