Wraps the iNaturalist API with nine tools for querying wildlife observations, species identifications, taxa hierarchies, and place data. You can pull nearby sightings by coordinates, count species in a region, lookup taxonomy details, or search observations by taxon and date range. Part of the larger pondlog toolkit that bundles nature data sources (eBird, USA-NPN, USGS, Mushroom Observer) into both a unified CLI and individual MCP servers. The iNaturalist endpoints need no API key and respect rate limits internally. Useful when you want Claude to answer questions like "what amphibians were seen near this location last week" or build location-aware natural history reports without writing your own API client.
