Content Distribution

Handles programmatic publishing and distribution monitoring in AEM as a Cloud Service through two official APIs: the Replication API for publishing content via code, and Sling Distribution events for tracking the lifecycle from package creation through import. Use the Replication API when you need to trigger publishing from OSGi services or workflow steps, and hook into Distribution events when you need to react to completion or failures. The parent skill routes to specialized sub-skills for each API. Common pattern is publishing content programmatically and then monitoring the IMPORTER_PACKAGE_IMPORTED event to know when it's actually live, which is useful for cache warming or notifications. Supports Preview tier publishing for approval workflows.
