Generating Custom Tab

Editor's Note

This handles the surprisingly finicky business of creating Salesforce custom tabs without hitting deployment errors. It covers object tabs, web tabs, and Visualforce tabs, with strict guidance on which XML elements are actually allowed (spoiler: way fewer than you'd think). The spec is heavy on "don't add this element" warnings because the metadata API will reject common mistakes like putting a label on an object tab or including forbidden elements like `<sobjectName>`. Useful if you're setting up navigation for custom objects or embedding external content and tired of guessing why your tabs won't deploy. The motif selection guidance is a nice touch, it pushes you to pick contextually relevant icons instead of lazily reusing the same one.
