Handles XMind mindmap files with parse, create, and update operations, converting them to Markdown for conversation memory. Works with both XMind 8 (legacy XML) and Zen/2020+ (JSON) formats, auto-detecting which one you've got. The Python script runs zero-dependency using stdlib only, stores parsed content in session-isolated temp files, and preserves metadata like labels, links, and markers in a readable indented list format. Useful when you want Claude to read an existing mindmap, generate one from scratch based on your description, or iteratively edit structure without leaving the chat. Updates overwrite the original file, so back up first if that matters. The Markdown representation is clean enough that you can keep discussing and refining the map across multiple turns in the same session.
