Generates 2D DXF files from Python scripts using ezdxf, either as standalone drawings or as projections from 3D CAD models. You write a gen_dxf() function with parametric dimensions, run the CLI, and get validated DXF output for laser cutting, waterjet, CNC routing, or technical drawings. The workflow pushes you to derive contours from actual STEP topology when possible rather than duplicating geometry formulas, which keeps projections honest. Includes deterministic validation via entity counts, layer checks, and dimension verification instead of visual inspection. Pairs naturally with the CAD skill for parts that need both 3D models and 2D cut profiles. Honest take: the topology projection approach is the right default, but you'll still hand draw plenty of simple outlines.
